Selected work 01

From raw match events to a tactical workflow.

Match Explorer is the product at the centre of my football analysis work: one environment to move from data to patterns, questions and visual evidence.

Napoli–Como: the battle for control.

Como use possession to control territory, press after losses and reduce the opponent's attacking volume. Napoli must beat the first pressure and protect the seconds after every turnover.

About 04

Mathematics gave me the method.
Football gave me the questions.

I'm Michele Orefice, a football data analyst based in Madrid. My background in Mathematical Engineering and a Master's in Big Data applied to Football shapes the way I approach analysis: start with the football question, build the right data structure, then turn the result into evidence that can actually be used.

My work sits at the intersection of match analysis, data products and visual storytelling — from exploring event data to building interactive tools and translating patterns into clear tactical narratives.

What I do 05

Data, analysis and delivery — built for football decisions.

I work across the full analysis chain: framing football questions, shaping the right product and engineering the workflow that keeps insights reliable and repeatable.

01

Match analysis

Pre-match, post-match and opponent-focused work built around the tactical questions that matter most to coaches and performance staff.
